Lazy 2 years of coding
Peace be upon you,
This is my first blog in a while I am thinking of starting blogging as a hobby so I hope you will see blogs written by me in the future.
There are going to be 3 parts to this blog it's more like a story of a 6-year journey
This is the first part
Well as it is written in the title this blog is about my coding journey on YouTube. I have learned HTML, CSS, JS, and some C++ from YouTube. You can find many short videos or complete courses related to your subject on YouTube. YouTube is a good place for beginners who want to learn some new skills and don't have or don't want to pay any money for expensive courses.
THE FIRST PHASE OF MY JOURNEY
I started to take an interest in Internet technology in 2018. I was in 7 standard at that time my mother had bought a new phone and I had taken over her old phone after having my first second-hand mobile it was the first time when I started to focus on more interesting things about the internet or engineering. It was the first time that I realized that someone had taken a piece of iron, steel silicone, and copper and molded it into this amazing device. it was very interesting and this interest turned into an obsession to figure out how this thing works and how some ores can be transformed into this smart device So as most of my generation will do I opened up Google and searched about it for some time from there I got familiar with the term coding, web developing, software developer, PCB designer, and software engineer after that I went on youtube and searched these terms. English is not my first language well it's not even my third so I don't have a good command of it it was difficult to understand the terms which were used by the YouTubers and there were not many videos about coding in Udu or Hindhi or in any other language that I can speak at that time, as I was a very lazy person so instead of going to google and search bout that I put my mobile down and went to sleep. The next couple of months my curiosity was eating me inside. so after three months I opened Google again and did some research which was in vain because I still couldn't understand the terms. At that time I did not know a thing about computers because I was not interested but now my curiosity was not letting me sit still so I downloaded a course on basic computer science from a free cod camp. the problem was that it was also in English so after getting through the half course I gave up on it because I could not understand many of the terms
My love for anime helped me understand the language
That whole year I have not touched anything related to coding After I was promoted to 8th standard a friend of mine introduced me to anime.
The first anime I watched was Naruto and after that i started watching anime and i don't know how much i watched but it was in a few dozens but the common thing in the anime was all of them were in japanees with English subtitles or some were in English dubbed well this helped me a lot in learny and understanding English so the major problem of language was solved And that old curiosity bubbled up again and heunce again i went to the app and searched the problem was that there were many new channels with the same content but in my language, I realized that language should not have been a issue in the modern world so I downloaded the same videocbut in my language it took me a 2 days to figure everything and to get familiarized with the terms used in the developing so I downloaded a video of Biggners level HTML and my phone was taken from me because my exams were coming close so I bear with it, i have to bear with it overall exams are more important then a child trying to learn something new.
I got my mobile back after six months because I had to do some pranks with my parents between and after exams. The main prank was I didn't study and got bad marks on the results. Well, my percentage was 87 but it's a big no-no for Asian parents nothing is accepted under 90% at the least till high school or here till class 12 after that it's university.
When I got my phone back I missed so much anime/movie/game time that I had to put my curiosity aside and satisfy my instant craving for the things mentioned above. Hence another 2 months were wasted doing nothing productive
First time practicing HTML
Well after I had caught on to the missed episodes I remembered about the videos I had downloaded so I went to the library those videos were outdated so after re-downloading them I started my journey
My first HTML code after sitting and learning the standard process of writing an HTML file was <img src="jkdjsk.jpg" alt=" practice">
After this, I was dedicated to mastering the language and I learned everything in the 3 hours of video now I have dipped my feet into the world of coding and the next step was to learn and master CSS.
